- its a windows only modem. its missing a uart and some other stuff, and
- that stuff is handled by windows.. if you want dos go for the regular
- sportster or just forget the winmodem entirely

- the win modem has one thing good for it.. to upgrade the modem you just
- run a new install disk. the regular sportster needs a rom upgrade and
- the more expensive sportster dsvd has a flash rom and voice and data
- over the same line to a modem that has that. compusa sells the dsvd's
- for like $300-399 and the regular sportster sells for around 199
